Establishment of NYLC
The National Youth Leadership Council (NYLC) was established to develop youth leadership by engaging young people in service-learning.
1994
Youth Service America Launched
Youth Service America (YSA) started to promote youth as valuable assets in solving societal issues.
2002
The Junior National Young Leaders Conference
The inaugural event was held to recognize sixth and seventh grade students who have demonstrated leadership potential and high academic standing.

Youth Leadership Month Initiated
