On January 15, we celebrate Alpha Kappa Alpha Day – a special day to honor the oldest African American Greek-lettered sorority. Founded in 1908 at Howard University, this sorority has a rich history of empowering and uplifting women through education, leadership, and service. It's also known for its iconic pink and green colors and signature ivy leaf symbol.
