Calling all cat lovers! June 1 marks the start of National Adopt A Cat Month – a whole month dedicated to finding loving homes for furry feline friends. This holiday started back in 1972 when the American Humane Association launched an initiative to promote cat adoption and raise awareness about the millions of cats waiting to be adopted in shelters.
