Coffee Morning Inception

The first Macmillan Coffee Morning was organised by a local fundraising committee, people donated the cost of their coffee to support people facing cancer.

Nationwide Adoption

The positive response from the first event led it to become a nationwide initiative the following year to raise funds for Macmillan's cancer support.

£20 Million Milestone

By 2001, the cumulative amount raised from the event since its initiation reached an impressive £20 million.
