Introduction
On December 1, we honor Day Without Art Day – a day dedicated to raising awareness for the impact of AIDS on the arts community. This holiday was first established in 1989 by a group of artists and activists who wanted to bring attention to the devastating effects of HIV/AIDS on artists and their work. What started as a one-day event has now turned into an annual observance that encourages people to reflect on the significant contributions made by artists affected by this disease. It's also a time to support organizations that work towards finding a cure and supporting those affected by HIV/AIDS. So let's come together and celebrate art while also promoting important causes!
