Care as survival
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, the Black Panther Party turned care into organizing. The party ran free medical and health clinics in 13 cities nationwide, treating access to care as a matter of survival for communities the system overlooked. In their hands, looking after your neighbors was not indulgence but resistance.
