Celebrate International Civil Aviation Day on December 7 with a sky-high appreciation for the industry that has made our lives so much easier! This day was created in 1994 by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to honor the progress of international civil aviation and to recognize its importance in connecting people, cultures and societies around the world. From the Wright Brothers' first powered flight in 1903 to the modern airplanes we have today, it's incredible to think about how far we have come.
