Welcome to National Radiologic Technology Week, beginning on November 3, our chance to acknowledge and celebrate the incredible professionals working tirelessly in the fields of radiologic technology! These are the unsung heroes who utilize an astounding array of sophisticated imaging technology to aid in the diagnosis and therapeutic treatment of medical conditions. This special week was first established by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists in 1979, coinciding with the anniversary of the discovery of the X-ray by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen on Nov 8, 1895. Today, we carry forward this tradition, honoring the invaluable work of these dedicated professionals who contribute significantly to patient care and safety.
