The Honest Part

No one can make your day “official.” Congress banned it in 1995. There is only the public record, and whoever keeps showing up.

The Package

The whole launch for $2,500.

One-time, not annual. Most vendors in this industry will not print a price at all, and promotion is always extra. Ours is on the receipt, launch announcement included.

The listing persists after year one whether or not you ever spend again, and you keep full editorial control of your content, always. Promotion renewal is a decision we schedule, not an invoice that auto-fires.

See Promotion Add-Ons

This is the base plan: it creates and launches the day. Wanting more push, brands add on email announcements, surveys, PR, and social or influencer work, priced per scope.

What We Decide With You
Everything else is production

Four decisions make or break a day.

01

The name

Sets the ceiling on how far the day spreads. Brand-heavy names you own alone; general names invite the whole category in.

02

The date

A date where your moment can shine, clear of major holidays and weekends. Weekday holidays pull up to four times the engagement.

03

The origin story

The two paragraphs a journalist retells and an AI answer cites. Written to be quoted, not posted.

04

The distribution

A day nobody hears about is just a listing. Yours launches with a page, premium placement, and an email to 405,000+ subscribers.

FAQ

Questions buyers actually ask.

Is a national day official? Who approves it?

No one does, and anyone who says otherwise is selling the word. Since 1995 the U.S. House has banned date-specific commemorative legislation, so there is no government body that declares national days. A day becomes recognized the practical way: it is listed on the calendars people already use, media covers it, and brands and fans celebrate it year after year. Registration is how that starts.

What does registering a national day actually do?

It creates the public record. Your day gets its date, name, origin story, and page in a registry that planners, journalists, and fans use to look up what to celebrate. Our creation package includes the registration, a year of premium placement, and an email announcement to our 405,000+ subscribers.

Can I register a day myself for free?

Yes. Chase’s Calendar of Events has taken free submissions since 1957, and the comparison table above is honest about that route. What a free listing does not buy is distribution: the audience, the announcement, the page, and the launch plan. That is what you are paying for here.

How long does it take to create a national day?

We have taken a day from kickoff to live in as little as seven days. The real question is runway: the earlier your day is live, the more planning cycles it catches organically. At 120 days out, annual planners build it into their calendars. At 90, quarterly media and campaign teams find it in their sweep. At 30, social managers scheduling the month pick it up. Launch inside a week and it still works, but paid reach has to do what organic discovery would have done free.

Do I own the day or its name?

Registration gives you the origin, not legal rights: the day traces back to your brand everywhere its history is told. No registrar can trademark a name for you. If owning the name legally matters, that is a lawyer conversation before launch, and we will tell you the same thing in the consult.

Can I create a day for my business or product?

Yes, most days we create are brand days. The naming decision sets the ceiling: a brand-heavy name maximizes ownership, a general name maximizes how many others join in. We walk you through that dial before anything is registered.
